Horizon's engineers have been involved with a project at Norwich School that will see the conversion of the Blake Building into a performance and plenary facility to accommodate 180 pupils.
The former gym, which was more recently split into teaching rooms, is being converted into a tiered seated auditorium with a multi purporse space.
Horizon's engineers initially under took an assessment of the external walls to ensure their stability would not be compromised by the removal of the floor structure. A new low level suspended floor has been engineered to support the retractable tiered seating. Incorporated into this is a cantilever balcony system which supports the top level of seating whilst lower seating folds underneath it.
